(March 1, 2017) - Excess Racing has been hard at work this off-season with the fabrication of a 1997 Honda Prelude. After eight races behind the wheel of a Chevrolet Cavalier, driver Austin Scott is excited to get back in a Prelude that he spent the first fifteen races of his career piloting."I started my career in a Prelude at the end of 2015, and to get back in the seat of one in 2017 is like reuniting with your first love," Scott said with a laugh. The engine of this season's Prelude has been rebuilt by Michael Barnes of Barnes Performance in Findlay, OH. Screamin' Zero Racing in St. Marys, OH is currently putting the finishing touches on the roll cage, and B-Ham Signs and Designs out of Dixon, IL will be taking care of the decals for the 2017 XS ride. Stay tuned for further updates as the season opening race at Waynesfield Raceway Park is quickly approaching on April 22. Check out the Tour page for the full 2017 schedule.
